Crispy and Chewy in One Bite: a Flavor of Everlasting Happiness
In 1975, with producing quality fishballs as his calling, Ah Koong established his first retailing sole proprietor, located in Dafeng Garden, Johor Bahru. Initially, the restaurant only had five tables. Thanks to the assistance of his wife, parents, and sister, he was able to start a new career, providing self-made fishballs and fishcake kway teow soup.
At end of 2008, Ah Koong found a new brand “Ah Koong Noodles House”, selling Halal fishball dishes. The mouthwatering traditional fishballs were introduced to a big mall, Johor Bahru City Square.
In Ah Koong Noodles House, Ah Koong’s self-made fishball is the most recommended food on the menu, and crispy fried fishcake is the second. Ah Koong’s fishball is always deemed a must-eat in the restaurant. In addition to traditional soup with multiple choices of noodles, including kway teow, Ah Koong also launched secret laksa soup. The side ingredients are cockles and mung bean sprouts, both of which are spicy food cravers’ favorites.
What’s more, the fish dumplings of Ah Koong House are made with pork wrapped in fish skin and vegetables wrapped in ground fish meat. Lastly, you may taste their yong tau fu, tofu filled with fresh ground fish meat. Come get the freshest and most tasteful dishes at the most reasonable prices.
